Six Degrees Of Musical Separation

30 Dec

Let’s play! DEVO and Green Day.

Let’s start with an album by DEVO called Q: Are We Not Men? A: We Are DEVO. This album was produced by Brian Eno.

Brian Eno is a long-time producer of U2.

U2 and Green Day joined forces for a charity single after Hurricane Katrina, The Saints Are Coming.

Done. Three degrees of separation. Although there is the rumor that the unidentified members of The Network, a 80’s tribute band side project by Green Day, are, in fact, former members of DEVO. Then, it’s like half a degree.

Let’s do a hard one. Randomly selected from my iPod: The Cure and Tiger Army.

Tiger Army’s former drummer is Adam Carson, now the current drummer for AFI.

AFI played Warped Tour in 2001 with 311.

311 covered The Cure’s Love Song on their album From Chaos.

Well, that was fun.

Don’t tempt me to start doing this with movies. John’s MUSIC blog will die a fiery death.

      That’s why I kept it musical 😉

I thought it would be harder to do. Maybe I need to try more obscure bands?
