¡Uno! ¡Dos! ¡Tre! – A Review

I’m going to start this post with an apology.

First, to you, the reader. I’m sure, if you don’t know me from facebook or the U2 message board where the idea for this blog came to fruition, you came here expecting me to lambaste the band like I did on my review for 21st Century Breakdown.

Well, I’m sorry.

I’m not going to do that. I’m going to review The Trilogy without being mean, bitter, or sarcastic. So if that’s what you came for, and if that’s what you want, don’t continue reading.

In the interest of list-making and redeeming myself after the utter failure of barely listening to any new music in 2010 (especially not at all getting through the ambitious list I posted for myself of stuff I was going to listen to), here are the albums I’ve done in the past 3 months of 2011, in no particular order

Hope for Haiti Now: A Global Benefit for Earthquake Relief – A Review

Let me preface this by saying that I fully support what George Clooney did by putting this telethon together. Haiti needed all the help they could get before the earthquake and now that need is exponentially higher. Please, give what you can to http://www.hopeforhaitinow.org.

That said, this is a music-reviewing blog, and music was played during the telethon. And I am a smartass. So let’s get rolling with the review.

Repo!, Dear Repo!, how do I love thee? I love you from the first opening strains of “Depraved Heart Murder At Sanatorium Square” to the final fade-out of “Epilogue”. You’re a goth rock opera, but you’re so much more than that.

This is a feature on my local radio station and I thought it’d be a cool idea for this as well.
